About Us

A community working together for every child's right to learn

Assam Rifles Welfare Education Society began with a simple idea — that no child should be left out of the classroom because of money. Today, that idea is a movement of parents, teachers, volunteers and donors.

Our story

What began as a small after-school reading circle for a handful of children has grown into a network of programs supporting hundreds of learners every year. From foundational literacy to college scholarships, our work walks alongside each child for as long as they need us.

We work hand-in-hand with families and local schools. Our programs are designed with the communities they serve, not dropped in from outside, and we measure success the same way the children do — by how confidently they keep learning.

What we believe

  • Every child has the right to a safe, joyful learning environment.
  • Education works best when families and teachers learn together.
  • Quality matters more than scale — we go deep before going wide.
  • Transparency builds trust; we share what works and what doesn't.
